Client

The Pick[+] Client is the user interface that interacts with the Pick[+] Server. The client is already installed on the Server PC and this installation is only required if the user wants to use a separate PC to control the interface or when upgrading to newer versions (if available).

Client Requirements

Before proceeding with the installation, make sure your system meets the following requirements:

✅ Operating System: Windows 10 / Windows 11 / Ubuntu 20.04
✅ Minimum Resolution: 1920×1080
✅ Required Files: pickplus.zip

Download the Pick[+] Client to your PC from the BitMetrics repository using your product ID.

Installation Steps

Follow these steps to install or upgrade the Pick[+] Client:

  1. Download Client from the Pick[+] repository.
  2. Move the file to a working directory and extract its contents.
  3. Ensure the pickplus folder contains:
    • pickplus.exe (client application)
    • logo.ico
  4. To create a desktop shortcut:
    • Locate pickplus.exe in the client folder.
    • Right-click → Select Create Shortcut.
  5. Double-click the Pick[+] desktop icon to start the client.
  1. Download pickplus.zip from the Pick[+] repository.
  2. Move the file to a working directory and extract its contents.

  3. Ensure the pickplus folder contains:

    • pickplus (client application)
    • install_pickplus.sh (script to create desktop shortcut)

  4. Open terminal in client directory where the file install_pickplus.sh is located and execute the bash script:

    bash install_pickplus.sh

  5. Enable launching the application:
    • Place the mouse over the newly created pickplus.desktop icon.
    • Right-click → Select Allow launching (if necessary).
  6. Double-click the Pick[+] desktop icon to open the client.

WARNING

You may be asked for the user password in order to execute the bash script. This password is provided together with the license of use of Pick[+].
